Dr. 艾哈迈德Aksoy

艾哈迈德Aksoy holds a Ph.D. in Media and Communication from 德州 Tech University, a master's in Media and Public Relations from Newcastle University, and a bachelor's degree in Communication from East Carolina University. He is an Assistant Professor of Communication at 哥伦比亚大学. Before joining 哥伦比亚大学, he spent four years working in higher education administration developing programs in academic advising, 指导, multicultural affairs, parent and family involvement, and student organizations. Ahmet has also served as a communication specialist for Houston Community College and the Newcastle City Council, where he aided in the construction and delivery of digital messages and content for both entities.

His scholarly interest lies in exploring how cultural identities are shaped and communicated within society. Ahmet focuses attention on cultural identity negotiations within inter/cultural communication by attending to the intersections of race, 种族, 国籍, 和宗教. His interest also examines communication pedagogy practices. 

Ahmet has a joy for teaching and 指导 students. Students have expressed the value of his teaching and 指导 and as a result he has been recognized nationally and regionally for his dedication to student success in and outside of the classroom.
